The Ottawa Muslim Association is very pleased to announce that Eid Ul-Fitr
will be on September 10, 2010.

Eid Prayer will be held at the Civic Centre, Takbeer will begin at 7:00am and Eid prayer will be at 8:45am.

Welcome to Ramadan Ottawa!

Ramadan Ottawa was created in order to help facilitate the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims within the Ottawa community.

On this site, you will find key and important updates in preparation of the blessed and holy month of Ramadan. You will also find interesting information about lectures, events and important messages from the Ottawa Muslim Association (OMA). Our goal is to keep the Ottawa Muslim community informed before, during and shortly after the month of Ramadan.

Daily Prayer Schedule for Ottawa (Time of Athan)

Time of Iqama for Daily Prayers for August 2010

Fajr prayers: 1/2 hour after Athan
Duhr prayers: 1:20 p.m.
Asr prayers: 5:15 p.m.
Maghrib prayers - 5 minutes after Athan (see Ottawa prayer schedule below for Athan times)
Ishaa prayers - See Ramadan time table

Daylight Saving Time Friday Prayers
(From 2nd Sunday in March to 1st Sunday of November)
will be held as follow:
The Azan will be raised at 12:55
The Khutbah will start at 13:00
The Prayer starts at 13:30
Eastern Standard Time Friday Prayers
(From 1st Sunday in November to 2nd Sunday in March)
will be held as follow:
The Azan will be raised at 12:25
The Khutbah will start at 12:30
The Prayer starts at 13:00
